ABOUT TRUMAN
"I don't need another Black and White boy dog." That's exactly what Janice was thinking as she and Erica watched this stunningly beautiful, bold, but undoubtedly male puppy in the litter. But there was something about him that just wouldn't be denied and Truman became part of the Wil-Orion pack.
Truman finished his championship with all Specialty majors, including finishing his championship by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the 2018 National Specialty.

Truman was shown sparingly prior to the planned start of his specials career in 2020 - unfortunately, the pandemic had other ideas! He spent most of 2020 "vacationing" in California with Bill McFadden and headed back to the Midwest in the fall to begin his partnership with Robin Novak, Laura King, and the Daybreak crew. We could not be more thrilled with how much this team accomplished - Multiple Best in Shows, Multiple Reserve Best in Show, Multiple Best in Specialty Show, multiple group winning and group placing, multiple Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed wins (2021 & 2022).
Truman has won back to back ESSFTA National Specialties, winning Best of Breed, the Top 20 and Top 20 Peoples Choice Award in 2022 and winning Best of Breed, Best Veteran, Best of Opposite in Veteran Sweepstakes and Top 20 Peoples Choice Award in 2023!
On top of his show career, Truman has proven himself as an outstanding sire with multiple Best in Sweeps, 2019 Sweeps Extravaganza winner, specialty major pointed and champion get. Most importantly, he is a joy to live with and is everything a Springer Spaniel should be!
